How To Get To Gardenos Beach

Gardenos Beach is situated in the homonymous village of Garendos, about 2 kilometers south of Vitalades. It can best be reached with a private vehicle, like a rental car, scooter, or boat.

By car, Gerdenos Beach is a 38-kilometer drive from Corfu Town, 10 kilometers from the Port of Lefkimmi, and 13 kilometers from Kavos. There is a free parking area at the beach.

Unfortunately, there is no public transport to Gardenos Beach. The nearest bus stop is in Vitalades from where Green Bus line B1 connects the village with Kavos and Corfu Town.

Gardenos Beach is oriented towards the southwestern direction and doesn’t have any shade during most part of the day. The beach stretches along a wide bay over a length of almost 2 kilometers, and has a varying width between 15 and 40 meters.

The beach and seabed are sandy, with some occasional stones. The seabed has a gentle slope and for the first few meters, the bathing water has a normal depth. The water is very clear and relatively calm with only minor waves, making it perfect for swimming. The only potential source of pollution comes from the small stream that mouths into the sea but this is rare and usually short lived.

Apart from the few a beach tavernas, the entire coast at Garenos Beach is natural and unspoiled. The beach is considered very beautiful for its golden sand, turqoise waters and mountaineous landscape with high cliffs and some shrubby vegetation.

Gardenos Beach has a very tranquil vibe with only some amenities at a part of the beach, so there is plenty of space to get away from the crowds. The beach is perfect to relax, make a long beach walk or watch the sunset.

Facilities At Gardenos Beach

Gardenos Beach is partly organized and has several facilities, including sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, showers, trash bins, and a few tavernas to get drinks and food.
